Why Argentina for a group golf trip

Argentina has a deep golf tradition, and Buenos Aires is at the centre of it. Historic clubs, courses by legendary designers and a golf culture that has produced major champions.

Off the course, it's asado, Malbec and dinners that start at ten. We design the tournament, take care of access to the clubs and plan the nights so they live up to the golf.

When to go

Best time for a golf trip to Argentina

The southern hemisphere spring (October to December) and autumn (March to April) offer the best weather for golf.

January and February are hot and many locals are away on holiday. Winter (June to August) is cool but still playable on sunny days.

How long

How long is a typical trip

Because of the long flight from Europe, we recommend 6 to 8 nights with 3 to 4 rounds.

Groups often extend the trip to Mendoza for wine or to Uruguay for a few days by the sea.

Beyond the golf

What to do off the course in Argentina

  • Asado

A proper Argentine barbecue at an estancia outside the city.

  • Malbec

Wine tastings in Buenos Aires or a trip to the vineyards of Mendoza.

  • Tango

A show or a night at a milonga in San Telmo.

  • Polo

Matches in Palermo during the season, from October to December.

FAQ

Argentina golf trip questions

More answers on our FAQ page, or see how a Ryder Cup style trip works.

When is the best time for a golf trip to Argentina?

The best time is October to December and March to April, during the southern hemisphere spring and autumn. The seasons are opposite to Europe's.

Can visitors play at the Jockey Club in Buenos Aires?

Access to the Jockey Club and most top clubs in Buenos Aires is limited for visitors and depends on availability. We request tee times on behalf of the group when we design the trip.

How many nights do we need for a golf trip to Buenos Aires?

We recommend 6 to 8 nights because of the long flight from Europe. That gives time for 3 to 4 rounds and to enjoy the city.

Yes, Mendoza is a short flight from Buenos Aires and is Argentina's main wine region. We can add a few days of vineyards and golf to the end of the trip.
