Why Balearic Islands for a group golf trip

Mallorca is where a golf trip starts to feel like a holiday. Courses between the mountains and the Mediterranean, a lighthouse on the 18th, and an afternoon on a boat when the tournament gives you a break.

Most of our island trips are based in Mallorca, which has the widest choice of courses. We can also plan rounds in Menorca or Ibiza for groups who want something quieter or livelier.

When to go

Best time for a golf trip to Balearic Islands

Spring (March to June) and autumn (September to November) bring warm weather, quieter courses and easy flights.

July and August are hot and very busy on the island. Some winter days are perfect, but flights are fewer and the weather is less predictable.

How long

How long is a typical trip

A typical trip is 4 nights and 3 rounds.

Groups often add a fifth night for a boat day or a trip to Sóller and the Tramuntana mountains.

Beyond the golf

A private boat to swim in coves along the coast, with lunch on board.

  • Sóller and Deià

The vintage train through the mountains and the villages of the Tramuntana.

FAQ

Balearic Islands golf trip questions

More answers on our FAQ page, or see how a Ryder Cup style trip works.

Is Mallorca good for a group golf trip?

Yes, Mallorca is one of the best island golf destinations in Europe. It has a wide choice of courses, direct flights from most European cities and plenty to do off the course.

When is the best time to play golf in Mallorca?

The best time is March to June and September to November. Summer is hot and crowded, and winter has fewer flights and less predictable weather.

Can we play golf in Menorca or Ibiza too?

Yes, but each island has only a few courses, so we usually base the tournament in Mallorca. Menorca or Ibiza can work for shorter trips or as an extension.

How long are transfers between courses in Mallorca?

Most courses near Palma are 10 to 25 minutes from the city. Alcanada, in the north, is about 50 minutes from Palma.
