When to go
Best time for a golf trip to Canary Islands
October to April is the high season for golf, with warm days while most of Europe is in winter.
Summer is also playable, but the islands are busier and the south is hot in the middle of the day.
Golf trips · Spain
Winter golf in shorts, on volcanic courses facing the Atlantic.
When it's grey and cold at home, the Canary Islands are warm, bright and green. That's the whole pitch, and it works every time.
Tenerife and Gran Canaria have courses built on volcanic slopes with the Atlantic in front of you. We plan the tournament on one island, or split the trip between both for groups with more time.
On the course
Guía de Isora, Tenerife
Lakes, palm trees and views of La Gomera. The signature round of a Tenerife trip.
Adeje, Tenerife
Built on old banana terraces, with the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other.
Buenavista del Norte, Tenerife
A Seve Ballesteros design along the cliffs of the north coast, wild and spectacular.
Bandama, Gran Canaria
The oldest golf club in Spain, founded in 1891, next to a volcanic crater.
Maspalomas, Gran Canaria
A coastal course in the south of the island, close to the dunes and the hotels.
Course availability for groups changes by season. We confirm every tee time before you book.

Yes, the Canary Islands are one of the warmest places in Europe to play golf in winter. Daytime temperatures usually stay around 20 to 24°C from November to March.
Tenerife has the wider choice of courses, especially in the south, while Gran Canaria has Spain's oldest club and good options near Maspalomas. We can base the trip on one island or combine both.
Flights from the UK take about 4 to 4.5 hours, and from northern Europe usually 4.5 to 6 hours. There are direct routes from most major airports.
We recommend 4 to 5 nights with 3 rounds, because of the longer flight. For both islands, plan around 6 nights.
